The Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology met this day at 4:21 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Kelvin Kenneth Ogilvie, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Eggleton, P.C., Merchant, Nancy Ruth, Ogilvie, Raine, Seidman and Stewart Olsen (7).
In attendance: Sonya Norris, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament; Silvina Danesi, Procedural Clerk, Committees Directorate.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, the committee continued its Study on the issue of dementia in our society. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No.2).

Canadian Gerontological Nursing Association:
Veronique Boscart, President.
Canadian Academy of Geriatric psychiatry:
Dr. Marie-France Tourigny-Rivard, Geriatric Psychiatrist and Professor, Department of Psychiatry, Division of Geriatric psychiatry, University of Ottawa.
The chair made a statement.
Dr. Dupuis-Blanchard, Dr. Boscart and Dr. Tourigny-Rivard each made statements and answered questions.
At 5:53 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
