The Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology met this day at 10:30 a.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Kelvin Kenneth Ogilvie, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Eggleton, P.C., Frum, Merchant, Nancy Ruth, Ogilvie, Raine, Seidman and Stewart Olsen (8).
In attendance: Sonya Norris, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, the committee continued its study on the issue of dementia in our society. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No.2.)

Dr. Ronald C. Petersen, Chair, Advisory Council on Research, Care and Services for the US National Plan to Address Alzheimer's Disease.

David Berry, Policy Officer, Dementia Policy Unit (by video conference).
The chair made a statement.
Mr. Berry and Dr. Petersen each made a statement and answered questions.
At 12:28 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
