The Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology met this day at 4:15 p.m., in room 2, Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Kelvin Kenneth Ogilvie, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Dagenais, Dean, Eggleton, P.C., Mégie, Ogilvie, Petitclerc, Seidman, Stewart Olsen and Unger (9).
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, the committee continued its study on the role of robotics, 3D printing and artificial intelligence in the healthcare system. (For complete text of the order of reference, see proceedings of the committee, Issue No. 14.)

The chair made a statement.
Mr. Bengio and Mr. Ferguson-Pell each made a statement and answered questions.
