The Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology met this day at 10:30 a.m., in room W110, 1 Wellington St., the chair, the Honourable Chantal Petitclerc, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Eaton, Forest-Niesing, Kutcher, Mégie, Munson, Oh, Omidvar, Pate, Petitclerc, Poirier and Seidman (11).
Other senators present: The Honourable Senators Klyne, Moodie and Ravalia (3).
In attendance: Alexandra Smith and Laura Munn-Rivard, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.
Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, May 2, 2019, the committee continued its examination of Bill C-83, An Act to amend the Corrections and Conditional Release Act and another Act.
