NINTH REPORT
Your Committee was authorized by the Senate on March 20, 2001 to examine international trade in agricultural and agri-food products, and short-term and long-term measures for the health of the agricultural and the agri-food industry in all regions of Canada.
Pursuant to Section 2:07 of the Procedural Guidelines for the Financial Operations of Senate Committees, the Budget submitted to the Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration and the report of said Committee are appended to this report.

That the Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry be authorized to examine international trade in agricultural and agri-food products, and short-term and long-term measures for the health of the agricultural and the agri-food industry in all regions of Canada; and
That the papers and evidence received and taken on the subject and the work accomplished by the Standing Committee on Agriculture and Forestry during the second session of the Thirty-sixth Parliament be referred to the Committee; and
That the committee submit its report no later than June 30, 2002.
The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
