The Special Committee of the Senate on the Pearson Airport Agreements met this day, at 9:06 a.m., the Chair, the Honourable Senator Finlay MacDonald (Halifax), presiding.
Members of the Committee present: The Honourable Senators Bryden, Jessiman, Kirby, LeBreton, Lynch-Staunton, MacDonald (Halifax), Stewart and Tkachuk. (8)
In attendance: John Nelligan, Q.C., Counsel to the Committee.
WITNESSES:
J.R. Mallory, Professor emeritus, University McGill;
Andrew Heard, Assistant Professor, Simon Fraser University;
John Wilson, Professor, University of Waterloo.
The Clerk of the Committee administered the oath/solemn affirmation and declaration to the witnesses, pursuant to section 13 of the Parliament of Canada Act.
The witnesses made a statement and answered questions.
At 11:56 a.m., the Committee recessed.
At 2:00 p.m., the Committee resumed.
WITNESS:
Glen Shortliffe, Former Clerk of the Privy Council.
The Clerk of the Committee administered the oath/solemn affirmation and declaration to the witness, pursuant to section 13 of the Parliament of Canada Act.
The witness made a statement and answered questions.
