The Subcommittee on Boreal Forest of the Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met at 5:00 p.m. this day, in Room 172-E, Centre Block, the Chair, the Honourable Senator Doris Anderson, presiding.
Members of the subcommittee present: The Honourable Senators Anderson, Spivak and Taylor (3).
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Dan Shaw, Research Officer; Media Relations Officer of the Subcommittee: Barbara Robson.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to its Order of Reference, the subcommittee met to study the present and future of forestry in Canada: study of the Boreal Forest.

Mr. Graham Lochhead, Director, Office of Forestry and Environment;
