The subcommittee on Communications of the Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications met at 2:00 p.m. this day, the Chair, the Honourable Senator Marie-P. Poulin, presiding.
Members of the subcommittee present: The Honourable Senators Poulin, Rompkey and Spivak. (3)
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Taylor.

The subcommittee resumed consideration of its study on Canada's international competitive position in communications as authorized by the Senate on May 1, 1996 and the committee on May 2, 1996.
The witnesses from the Competition Bureau Policy made a statement and answered questions.
It was agreed -- THAT the presentation by the Competition Bureau Policy be filed with the Clerk of the Subcommittee as Exhibit 6050 - 2.35 / C1, "11".
At 3:05 p.m., the sitting was suspended.
