The Subcommittee on Post-Secondary education met at 8:55 a.m. this day in Room 282 of the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Vancouver, British Columbia, the Chairman, the Honourable M. Lorne Bonnell, presiding.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, June 19, 1996, the Subcommittee resumed its consideration of the inquiry on the serious state of Post-Secondary education in Canada (for full text of Order of Reference see Proceedings of the Subcommittee dated August 6, 1996, Issue No. 1 ).
The Honourable Senator Bonnell turned the Chair over to the Honourable Senator Perrault during the Student Roundtable.
The students made statements and answered questions.
At 10:30 a.m., the meeting was suspended.
At 10:50 a.m., the meeting resumed, the Honourable Lorne Bonnell presiding.
Ed Lavalle made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 11:35 a.m., Gerry Della Mattia made an opening statement and answered questions.
At 12:15 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
