With the exception of 1996/97, contribution of hardwood to overall volumes fairly constant (large increase in last year.) 1993/94 is the base year for all comparisons for each province; base in the respect that actual value for 1993/94 and cpi-adjusted value are the same for that year.

Note: Stumpage for Quebec incorporates reforestation charges, but are net of credit notes extended to industry for silvicultural activities.
Actual stumpage charge for 1996 in TSFMA (Timber Supply and Forest Management Agreement) was 9.97 per cubic meter; reforestation and/or protection charges were 0.68 per cubic meter. Expenditures on reforestation in 96/97 was 88.583; reforestation revenue was 12.098, so it appears that some of these stumpage revenues were directed towards reforestation.

Incomplete revenue for one year (1992-93), so did not calculate stumpage.
