The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs met this day at 4:49 p.m. in room 160-S of the Centre Block, the Chairman, the Honourable John B. Stewart, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Bolduc, Corbin, De Bané, Di Nino, Losier-Cool, Stewart and Stollery (8).
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: Mr. Peter Berg, Economics Division.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
The committee resumed consideration of its order of reference pertaining to the consequences for Canada of the emerging European Monetary Union and other related trade and investment matters (see Committee proceedings of November 27, 1997, Issue No. 5, for text of order of reference).
