The Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration met at 9:10 a.m. this day, the Chairman, the Honourable Senator William Rompkey, P.C., presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Callbeck, DeWare, Di Nino, Forrestall, LeBreton, Losier-Cool, Maheu, Nolin, Poulin, Robichaud, P.C. (Saint-Louis-de-Kent), Rompkey, P.C. and Stollery (12).

Other senators present: The Honourable Senators Oliver, Prud'homme, P.C. and Watt (3).

In attendance: Mr. Paul Bélisle, Clerk of the Senate, and other Senate officials.

98-06-09/163 -- Aboriginal People's Committee Supplementary Budget 1998-99

It was agreed that the supplementary budget application of the Aboriginal People's Committee for the fiscal year 1998-99 (recommendations of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples) be adopted ($511,900).

At 9:55 a.m., the committee proceeded in camera.

At 11:45 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
