The Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs, met this day in Room 257, East Block, at 3:45 p.m., the Honourable Lorna Milne, Chair, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Beaudoin, Bryden, Grafsein, Joyal, P.C., Milne, Moore and Pearson (8).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Wilson (1).
In attendance: Gérald Lafrenière and Nancy Holmes, Research Officers, Research Branch, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, December 3, 1998, the committee continued its consideration of Bill C-51, An Act to amend the Criminal Code, the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and the Corrections and Conditional Release Act.
