Extract from the Journals of the Senate, Tuesday, February 24, 1998:

Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Poulin, seconded by the Honourable Senator Losier-Cool, for the second reading of Bill C-17, An Act to amend the Telecommunications Act and the Teleglobe Canada Reorganization and Divestiture Act.

After debate, The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

The Bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Poulin moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Losier-Cool, that the Bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Transport and Communications.
