The Subcommittee on Veterans Affairs met in camera at 11:00 a.m. this day in Room 172-E, Centre Block, the Chairman, the Honourable Senator Orville H. Phillips, presiding.
Members of the subcommittee present: The Honourable Senators Phillips, Chalifoux, Cools, and Jessiman (4).
Other senators present: The Honourable Senators Forest and Prud'homme.
Pursuant to the Orders of Reference adopted by the Senate on November 25, 1997 and by the Standing Senate Committee on Social Affairs, Science and Technology on November 25, 1997, and the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on March 19, 1998, the subcommittee continued its examination on the future of the Canadian War Museum.
The subcommittee began consideration of the draft interim report dealing with its examination of the future of the Canadian War Museum.
The Honourable Senator Cools moved that the report, as amended, entitled "Guarding History" be adopted.
After debate, the question being put on the motion, it was agreed.
At 12:15 p.m., the subcommittee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
