The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this, at 6:02 p.m. in room 256-S, Centre Block, the Chair, the Honourable Senator Leonard J. Gustafson, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Biron, Chalifoux, Day, Gustafson, Hubley, Phalen, Tkachuk, Tunney and Wiebe (9).
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: June Dewetering.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 20, 2001 the committee continues to examine international trade in agricultural and agri-food products, and short-term and long-term measures for the health of the agricultural and the agri-food industry in all regions of Canada (For complete text of Order of Reference see Proceedings of the Committee, Issue No. 2.).

Brian Oleson, Howard Migie and Jamie Oxley continued to answer questions.
At 7:43 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
