The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day, at 8:30 a.m. in Room 705, Victoria Building, the Chair, the Honourable Senator Leonard J. Gustafson, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators: Biron, Fairbairn, P.C., Finnerty, Gill, Gustafson, Hubley, LeBreton, Oliver, Phalen, Stratton, Tkachuk and Tunney (12).
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: June Dewetering and Frédéric Forge.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 20, 2001, the committee continues to examine international trade in agricultural and agri-food products, and short-term and long-term measures for the health of the agricultural and the agri-food industry in all regions of Canada.
