The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day, at 4:32 p.m. in room 256-S, Centre Block, the Chair, the Honourable Senator Leonard J. Gustafson, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Biron, Day, Gustafson, Hubley, Oliver, Phalen, Tunney and Wiebe (8).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Sparrow (1).
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament: June Dewetering.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 20, 2001 the committee continues to examine international trade in agricultural and agri-food products, and short-term and long-term measures for the health of the agricultural and the agri-food industry in all regions of Canada.
