The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries has the honour to present its
FIRST REPORT
Your Committee, which was authorized by the Senate to incur expenses for the purpose of its examination and consideration of such legislation and other matters as were referred to it, reports, pursuant to Rule 104 of the rules, that the expenses incurred by the Committee during the Second Session on the Thirty-sixth Parliament are as follows:
1. With respect to its examination and consideration of legislation:

2. With respect to its special study on the Fishing Industry:

Your Committee also conducted five study tours to New Brunswick and Quebec (Feb. 2000); British Columbia (March 2000); Manitoba (May 2000); Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia (June 2000); and Nunavut and Northwest Territories (July 2000). During these tours the Committee met with 234 individuals.
