Extract from the Journals of the Senate, Tuesday, November 6, 2001:

The Senate resumed debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Pearson, seconded by the Honourable Senator Biron, for the seconded reading of Bill C-15A, An Act to amend the Criminal Code and to amend other Acts.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

The Bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Pearson moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Chalifoux, that the Bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.


Extract from the Journals of the Senate, Tuesday, November 20, 2001:

Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Robichaud, P.C., seconded by the Honourable Senator Hervieux-Payette, P.C., for the second reading of Bill C-40, An Act to correct certain anomalies, inconsistencies and errors and to deal with other matters of a non-controversial and uncomplicated nature in the Statutes of Canada and to repeal certain provisions that have expired, lapsed, or otherwise ceased to have effect.

After debate,

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.

The Bill was then read the second time.

The Honourable Senator Robichaud, P.C., moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Graham, P.C., that the Bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs.
