The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met this day at 7:03 p.m., in room 505, Victoria Building, the Chair, the Honourable Gerald Comeau, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Comeau, Cook, Hubley, Mahovlich, Trenholme Counsell, and Watt (6).

In attendance: Claude Emery, Research Analyst, Library of Parliament.

Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.

The committee resumed consideration of its Order of Reference relating to straddling stocks and to fish habitat. (See Committee Proceedings of November 5, 2002, Issue No. 1.)

WITNESSES:

Mr. Myles Kehoe, Partner;

Mr. Michael Ojolek, Partner.

Messrs. Kehoe and Ojolek made a presentation and answered questions.

At 8:45 p.m., it was agreed that the committee adjourn to the call of the Chair.
