The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs met this day at 3:38 p.m. to consider future business of the committee.
Senator Peter A. Stollery (Chairman) in the Chair.

The Chairman: Honourable senators, we will conduct our first order of business in public, which is to establish the composition of the steering committee. I propose that Senator Corbin sit on the steering committee. That would make the composition of the steering committee Senator Corbin, Senator Di Nino and myself.
Senator Graham: Has Senator Corbin agreed to this?
The Chairman: He has agreed, but he is currently attending another meeting.
It is moved by Senator Graham:
That the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure be composed of the Chair, the Deputy Chair and the Honourable Senator Corbin; and
That the Subcommittee be empowered to make decisions on behalf of the committee with respect to its agenda, to invite witnesses, and to schedule hearings.
It is further agreed that the motions related to the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure adopted by the committee on October 24, 2002, organizational meeting continue in force.
