The Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration met this day at 9:05 a.m. to consider administrative and other matters.

The Chairman: Good morning. You have the agenda before you. Are there any other matters senators wish to discuss this morning?

Are there any questions on Item No. 1, adoption of minutes of the proceedings of June 5?

Senator Gauthier: I move the adoption of the minutes.

The Chairman: Is it agreed?

Hon. Senators: Agreed.

The Chairman: Item No. 2 relates to the committee room project in the Victoria Building. We have with us this morning Mr. Pierre Tessier and Mr. Van-Khan Nguyen. Mr. Nguyen has been the Director of Major Capital Projects Implementation in the Parliamentary Precinct Directorate at Public Works and Government Services Canada since April 2003. He is responsible for the implementation of major capital programs, both parliamentary and non- parliamentary for PPD.
