Resuming debate on the motion of the Honourable Senator Ringuette, seconded by the Honourable Senator Mercer, for the second reading of Bill C-212, An Act respecting user fees.

The Bill was then read a second time.

The Honourable Senator Ringuette moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Chaput, that the Bill be referred to the Standing Senate Committee on National Finance.

The Honourable Senator Murray, P.C., moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Oliver,

That the Standing Senate Committee on National Finance to which was referred Bill C-212 on February 11, 2004, be also referred the papers and evidenced received and taken on the subject and the work accomplished by the Committee during the Second Session of the Thirty-seventh Parliament.
