The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met at 9:30 a.m., this day, in room 705, Victoria Building, the Chair, the Honourable Lowell Murray, P.C. presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Comeau, Doody, Downe, Ferretti Barth, Finnerty, Murray P.C., and Ringuette (7).
In attendance: Mr. Guy Beaumier and Mr. Stephen Laurent, Research Officers, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on February 26, 2004, the committee continued its examination of the expenditures set out in the Estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2005. (For complete text of the Order of Reference, please see Issue 3 of the Proceedings of the Committee.)

Terry Paddon, Deputy Minister, Department of Finance.
From the Government of Prince Edward Island:
