The Standing Senate Committee on Human Rights met at 4:40 p.m., this day, in room 257, East Block, the Chair, the Honourable Shirley Maheu presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Beaudoin, Ferretti Barth, Jaffer, Maheu and Plamondon (6).
Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Watt (1).
In attendance: Mary Hurley, Research Officer, Library of Parliament.
Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on February 19, 2004, the committee resumed its study of the key legal issues affecting the subject of on-reserve real matrimonial property. (For complete text of the order of reference, see Proceedings of the Committee, Issue No. 1.)
