The Special Senate Committee on Anti-terrorism met at 12 p.m., this day, in room 160-S, Centre Block, the chair, the Honourable David P. Smith, P.C., presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Andreychuk, Baker, P.C., Day, Fairbairn, P.C., Jaffer, Joyal, P.C., Nolin, Smith, P.C. and Tkachuk (9).

Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Stratton (1).

In attendance: Laura Barnett, Jennifer Bird and Penny Becklumb, Analysts, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, February 7, 2008, the committee began its study on Bill C-3, An Act to amend the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (certificate and special advocate) and to make a consequential amendment to another act.

The Special Senate Committee on Anti-terrorism met at 2 p.m., this day, in room 256-S, Centre Block, the chair, the Honourable David P. Smith, P.C., presiding.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, February 7, 2008, the committee continued its study on Bill C-3, An Act to amend the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (certificate and special advocate) and to make a consequential amendment to another act.

It was agreed that the committee proceed to clause-by-clause consideration of Bill C-3.

It was agreed that the title stand postponed.
