The Standing Senate Committee on Official Languages met this day in camera at 5:06 p.m. in room 9 of the Victoria Building, the chair, the Honourable Maria Chaput, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Champagne, P.C., Chaput, Fortin-Duplessis, Fraser, Seidman, Tardif and Wallace (7).
Also present: Marie-Ève Hudon, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament; and Francine Pressault, Communications Officer, Communications Directorate.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, the committee continued to study the application of the Official Languages Act and of the regulations and directives made under it. (For the full text of the order of reference, see Issue No. 2 of the committee proceedings.)
Pursuant to rule 92(2)(e), the committee met in camera to consider a draft agenda.
At 5:55 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
