The Standing Committee on Rules, Procedures and the Rights of Parliament met this day, in camera, at 6:50 p.m., in room 356-S, Centre Block, the deputy chair, the Honourable David Braley, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Braley, Brown, Comeau, Duffy, Fraser, Joyal, P.C., and Stratton (7).

In attendance: Till Heyde, Chamber Operations Clerk; and Sebastian Spano and Andre Barnes, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Service, Library of Parliament.

It was agreed that senators' staff be permitted to remain in the room.

In accordance with rule 92(2)(f), the committee considered a draft report.

It was moved that the report on the revised Rules of the Senate be adopted.

The question being put on the motion, it was adopted

At 8:42 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
