The Standing Committee on Rules, Procedures and the Rights of Parliament met in camera this day at 9:33 a.m., in room 356-S, Centre Block, the chair, the Honourable Joan Fraser, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Batters, Bellemare, Fraser, Frum, Gold, Joyal, P.C., Lankin, P.C., McCoy, McInnis, Seidman, Tkachuk, Wells and White (13).

In attendance: Till Heyde, Deputy Principal Clerk, Chamber Operations and Procedure Office; and Sebastien Spano, Analyst, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to rule 12-7(2)(c), the committee resumed its consideration of the orders and practices of the Senate and the privileges of Parliament.

Pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee considered its agenda.

At 10:47 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
