The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met this day at 11:35 a.m., in room C128, Senate of Canada Building, the deputy chair, the Honourable Peter Harder, P.C., presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boniface, Coyle, Deacon (Ontario), Gerba, Greene, Harder, P.C., Housakos, MacDonald, Marwah and Simons (10).

Participating in the meeting: Nadia Faucher, Analyst, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, February 10, 2022, the committee continued its study on foreign relations and international trade generally. (Topic: Situation in Ukraine)

At 12:29 p.m., the committee resumed.

Bob Francis made a statement and, together with Tawnia Sanford Ammar, Oksana Osadcha and Tracy Hardy, answered questions.

At 1:23 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the deputy chair.
