The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade met this day at 4:14 p.m., in room C128, Senate of Canada Building, the chair, the Honourable Peter M. Boehm, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boehm, Boniface, Coyle, Deacon (Ontario), Downe, Gerba, Greene, Harder, P.C., MacDonald, Ravalia and Woo (11).
Participating in the meeting: Zachariah Black and Brian Hermon, analysts, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, May 9, 2024, the committee began its examination of the subject matter of those elements contained in Divisions 6, 7, 8 and 9 of Part 4 of Bill C-69, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on April 16, 2024.

Gina Clark, David Bhamjee and Lorraine Audsley each made a statement and, together with Geneviève Brown, Darren Mason and Phillipe Hall, answered questions.
At 5:15 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
