The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 6:45 p.m., in room W110,
1 Wellington St., the chair, the Honourable Claude Carignan, P.C., presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Carignan, P.C., Dalphond, Forest, Kingston, LaBoucane-Benson, Oudar, Pate, Ross and Smith (9).

Participating in the meeting: Sylvain Fleury and Shaowei Pu, analysts, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, the committee continued its examination of the Supplementary Estimates (B) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2025.

Karen Cahill, Assistant Secretary and Chief Financial Officer;

Simon Crabtree, Executive Director, Employee Relations and Total Compensation Sector;

Stephen Burt, Chief Data Officer and Assistant Deputy Minister, Policy and Performance Sector, Office of the Chief Information Officer.

Antoine Brunelle-Côté made a statement and, together with Karen Cahill, Karine Paré, Simon Crabtree and Stephen Burt, answered questions.

At 8:45 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
