The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 9 a.m., in room W110, 1 Wellington St., the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boehm, Dagenais, Forest, Galvez, Gignac, Loffreda, Marshall, Mockler, Moncion, Pate and Smith (11).

Participating in the meeting: Shaowei Pu and Sylvain Fleury, analysts, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, June 1, 2023, the committee began its examination of the Supplementary Estimates (A) for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024.

Stephen Burt, Chief Data Officer of Canada.

Yves Giroux made a statement and answered questions.

At 10:08 a.m., the committee suspended.

At 10:13 a.m., the committee resumed.

Annie Boudreau made a statement and, together with Mireille Laroche, answered questions.

At 11:05 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
