The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met this day at 9:01 a.m., in room W110, 1 Wellington St., the chair, the Honourable Percy Mockler, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Dagenais, Forest, Gignac, Loffreda, MacAdam, Marshall, Mockler, Pate and Smith (9).

Participating in the meeting: André Léonard and Shaowei Pu, analysts, Library of Parliament.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, the committee continued its examination of the expenditures set out in the Main Estimates for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024.

WITNESSES:

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation:

Lisa Williams, Senior Vice-President, Housing Programs;

Bob Dugan, Chief Economist;

André Charbonneau, Deputy Chief Financial Officer.

Lisa Williams made a statement and, together with Bob Dugan and André Charbonneau, answered questions.

At 10:26 a.m., the committee suspended.

At 10:34 a.m., pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee discussed in camera a draft agenda (future business).

At 11 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
