The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met this day at 9:05 a.m., in room W120, 1 Wellington Street, the chair, the Honourable Fabian Manning, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Ataullahjan, Busson, Francis, Kutcher, Manning and Ringuette (6).
Participating in the meeting: Annie Trudel, Administrative Assistant, Committees Directorate; Daniele Lafrance, Analyst, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, the committee continued its examination of Canada’s seal populations and seal harvest.

Daniel E. Ruzzante, Paul Bentzen and Fred Whoriskey each made a statement and answered questions.
At 10:02 a.m., the committee suspended.
At 10:06 a.m., pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee resumed in camera to discuss a draft agenda (future business).
At 10:53 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
