The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met this day at 6:39 p.m., in room C128, Senate of Canada Building, the chair, the Honourable Fabian Manning, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Busson, Francis, Manning and Quinn (4).
Other senators present: The Honourable Senator Deacon (Ontario) (1).
Participating in the meeting: Daniele Lafrance, Analyst, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, February 10, 2022, the committee continued its consideration of the federal government's current and evolving policy framework for managing Canada’s fisheries and oceans including maritime safety. (Topic: Independence of commercial inshore fisheries in Atlantic Canada and Quebec)
