The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met this day at 9:02 a.m., in room W110, 1 Wellington St., the deputy chair, the Honourable Bev Busson, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Ataullahjan, Busson, Cordy, Deacon (Nova Scotia), Francis, McPhedran, Petten and Ravalia (8).
Participating in the meeting: Daniele LaFrance, Analyst, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, the committee continued its examination of Canada’s seal populations and seal harvest.

Zoya Martin, Director of Fisheries and Sealing, Department of Economic Development and Transportation.
Arctic Research Foundation:
Tom Henheffer, Co-Chief Executive Officer (by videoconference);
Angus Cockney, Community Engagement and Northern Specialist (by videoconference).
David Kunuk and Zoya Martin made a statement together and answered questions.
At 10:11 a.m., the committee suspended.
