The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met this day at 6:33 p.m., in room W110, 1 Wellington St., the deputy chair, the Honourable Bev Busson, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Aucoin, Busson, Cordy, Cuzner and Deacon (Nova Scotia) (5).
Participating in the meeting: Sara Gajic, Procedural Clerk, Committees Directorate; Daniele Lafrance and Poonam Jusrut, analysts, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, the committee continued its examination on the Great Lakes Fishery Commission and its work.

Richard Goodyear, Assistant Deputy Minister and Chief Financial Officer;
Niall O'Dea, Senior Assistant Deputy Minister, Strategic Policy.
Global Affairs Canada:
Niall Cronin, Executive Director, United States Transboundary Affairs Division;
Felicia Minotti, Deputy Director (Energy and Environment), United States Transboundary Affairs Division.
Niall O'Dea made a statement and, together with Richard Goodyear, answered questions.
At 7:29 p.m., the committee suspended.
At 7:32 p.m., the committee resumed.
Niall Cronin made a statement and, together with Felicia Minotti, answered questions.
At 8:01 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
