Pursuant to the order of the Senate of May 5, 2022, the Standing Committee on Rules, Procedures and the Rights of Parliament met this day in room B30, Senate of Canada Building, and with videoconference, at 11:06 a.m. ET, the chair, the Honourable Diane Bellemare, presiding.

Members of the committee present by videoconference: The Honourable Senators Batters, Bellemare, Black, Busson, Cordy, Deacon (Ontario), Duncan, Greene, Housakos, Lankin, P.C., Massicotte, Mockler, Ringuette, Saint-Germain and Wells (15).

Other senators present by videoconference: The Honourable Senators Dawson and Omidvar (2).

The Honourable Senators Housakos, Omidvar and Dawson each made a statement and answered questions.
