The Standing Senate Committee on Agriculture and Forestry met this day at 7:31 p.m., in room B45, Senate of Canada Building, the chair, the Honourable Mary Robinson, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Black, Burey, McBean, McNair, Muggli, Robinson and Sorensen (7).
Participating in the meeting: Joanne Markle LaMontagne, Analyst, Library of Parliament.
Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, November 20, 2025, the committee continued its consideration of Bill S-230, An Act respecting the development of a national strategy for soil health protection, conservation and enhancement.

Catherine King and Frank Annau each made a statement and answered questions.
