The Standing Senate Committee on Fisheries and Oceans met this day at 9:04 a.m., in room W110, 1 Wellington St., the chair, the Honourable Fabian Manning, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Boudreau, Cuzner, Deacon (Nova Scotia), Dhillon, Gerba and Manning (6).
Participating in the meeting: Daniele Lafrance, Analyst, Library of Parliament; Nicolas Daoust, Communications Officer, Communications, Broadcasting and Publications Directorate.
The chair presided over the election of the deputy chair.
The Honourable Senator Deacon moved that the Honourable Senator Dhillon be deputy chair of the committee.
The question being put on the motion, it was adopted.
At 9:07 a.m., the committee suspended.
At 9:07 a.m., pursuant to rule 12-16(1)(d), the committee resumed in camera to discuss a draft agenda (future business).
It was agreed that the committee allow the audio recording of the in camera portion of today’s meeting, that one copy be kept with the clerk of the committee for consultation by committee members and their staff, and that the audio recording be destroyed by the clerk of the committee when authorized to do so by the Subcommittee on Agenda and Procedure, but no later than at the end of this parliamentary session.
At 9:57 a.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
