The Chair: Honourable senators, welcome to this meeting of the Subcommittee of Veterans Affairs.
I am Dawn Anderson, senator for the Northwest Territories and chair of the subcommittee. I’m joined today by my fellow subcommittee members, who I welcome to introduce themselves.
Senator Ince: Good afternoon and thank you. Tony Ince, Nova Scotia.
Senator Patterson: Rebecca Patterson, Ontario.
Senator McNair: John McNair, New Brunswick.
Senator Muggli: Tracy Muggli, Saskatchewan, Treaty 6 territory.
The Chair: Colleagues, before we go in camera to discuss future business, Senator Ince would like to speak regarding the position of deputy chair.
Senator Ince: Yes, thank you, Madam Chair.
Colleagues, I am stepping down as deputy chair and would nominate my colleague Rebecca Patterson as the new deputy chair.
The Chair: It is moved by the Honourable Senator Ince that the Honourable Senator Rebecca Patterson be deputy chair of the subcommittee.
Is it your pleasure, honourable senators, to adopt the motion?
