Carbon removal, from air to sea: Canada, a leader in restoring oceans ecosystems and fighting climate change

A new Senate report explores how ocean alkalinity enhancement could help remove carbon dioxide from the air and store it in the ocean over the long term. The committee urges the federal government to advance research, regulation and collaboration to scale this technology and strengthen Canada’s leadership in marine carbon removal.
