The Standing Senate Committee on National Finance met at 5:55p.m., this day, in room 705, Victoria Building, the Chairman, the Honourable Senator Lowell Murray presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bolduc, Christensen, Cools, Doody, Mahovlich, Moore and Murray (7).

In attendance: Mr. Guy Beaumier, Research Officer, Library of Parliament.

Also in attendance: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on April 10, 2000, the committee proceeded to the consideretation of Bill C-10, An Act to amend the Municipal Grants Act.

The witnesses made their presentations and answered questions from members of the committee.
