The Standing Committee on Privileges, Standing Rules and Orders met at 12:00 p.m. this day, the Chairman, the Honourable Senator Austin, P.C., presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Austin, P.C., DeWare, Corbin, Gauthier, Grimard, Joyal, P.C., Kinsella, Kroft and Rossiter (9).

Other senator present: The Honourable Senator Sparrow (1).

WITNESSES:

From the Bureau of Veterinary Drugs, Health Canada:

Dr. Sudarshan S. Malik;

Dr. Cris Basudde;

Dr. Arnost Vilim.

The committee resumed its consideration of the question of privilege raised by the Honourable Senator Kinsella.

Dr. Malik made a statement and answered questions.

Dr. Basudde made a statement and answered questions.

Dr. Vilim made a statement and answered questions.

At 1:30 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the Chair.
