SEVENTH REPORT
Your Committee, which was authorized by the Senate onMarch 1st, 2001, to examine such issues as may arise from time to time relating to energy, the environment and natural resources, respectfully requests, that it be empowered to travel outside Canada for the purpose of such study.Pursuant to section 2:07 of the Procedural Guidelines for the Financial Operation of Senate Committees, the budget application submitted was printed in the Journals of the Senate of March 29, 2001. On April 3, 2001, the Senate approved the release of $162 820 to the Committee. The report of the Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration recommending the release of additional funds is appended to this report.

APPENDIX (B) TO THE REPORT

The Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration has examined the budget presented to it by the Chair of the Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment, and Natural Resources for the proposedexpenditures of the said Committee with respect to it study of issues as may arise from time to time relating to energy, the environment and natural resources and for its examination and consideration of such bills, subject-matters of bills and estimates as are referred to it. The Committee recommends the release of the following additional funds:
Professional and Other Services $ 17,050
Transportation and Communications $106,450
All Other Expenditures $ 1,500
TOTAL $ 125,000
