The Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment, and Natural Resources met at 5:35 p.m. this day, in room 257, East Block, the Chair, the Honourable Nicholas W. Taylor, presiding.
Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Hubley, Keon, Mahovlich, Sibbeston and Taylor (5).
Other Senator present: The Honourable Senator Gauthier (1).
In attendance: From the Research Branch of the Library of Parliament, Lynne C. Myers, Research Officer.
Pursuant to the Order of Reference adopted by the Senate on March 20, 2002, the committee proceeded to study Bill C-27, An Act respecting the long-term management of nuclear fuel waste.
