The Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Trade has the honour to present its

TENTH REPORT

Your Committee, which was authorized by the Senate on Tuesday May 9, 2006, to examine such issues that may arise from time to time relating to foreign relations generally, respectfully requests funds for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2008.

Pursuant to section 2(1)(c) of Chapter 3:06 of the Senate Administrative Rules, the budget submitted to the Standing Committee on Internal Economy, Budgets and Administration and the report thereon of that Committee are appended to this report.

Extract from the Journals of the Senate of Tuesday, May 9, 2006:

The Honourable Senator Segal moved, seconded by the Honourable Senator Di Nino:

That the Standing Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, in accordance with rule 86(1)(h), be authorized to examine such issues as may arise from time to time relating to Foreign relations generally; and

That the Committee report to the Senate no later that March 31, 2007.

Your Committee, to which was referred Bill C-48, An Act to amend the Criminal Code in order to implement the United Nations Convention against Corruption, has, in obedience to the Order of Reference of Thursday, May 10, 2007, examined the said Bill and now reports the same without amendment.

TWELFTH REPORT

Your Committee, which was authorized to examine and report on the evacuation of Canadian citizens from Lebanon in July 2006, has, in obedience to the Order of Reference of Tuesday, October 24, 2006, proceeded to that inquiry and now tables its report entitled The Evacuation of Canadians from Lebanon in July 2006: Implications for the Government of Canada.
