The Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources met this day at 5:06 p.m., in room 9, Victoria Building, the deputy chair, the Honourable Grant Mitchell, presiding.

Members of the committee present: The Honourable Senators Bellemare, Eaton, MacDonald, Massicotte, McCoy, Mitchell, Ringuette, Rivard and Seidman (9).

In attendance: Marc Leblanc and Sam Banks, Analysts, Parliamentary Information and Research Services, Library of Parliament.

Also present: The official reporters of the Senate.

Pursuant to the order of reference adopted by the Senate on Thursday, January 28, 2016, the committee continued its study on emerging issues related to its mandate.

WITNESS:

Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers:

Tim McMillan, President and CEO (by video conference).

The deputy chair made a statement.

Mr. McMillan made a statement and answered questions.

At 5:54 p.m., the committee suspended.

At 6 p.m., the committee resumed.

The deputy chair made a statement.

At 6:01 p.m., the committee adjourned to the call of the chair.
